Reserve your seat now for one of my “Great Migration” African Safari set for August 2012. This year you can choose between a six-day safari starting August 8-13, or a ten-day safari August 15-24. The six-day safari will travel to Kenya’s Masai Mara National Park with special emphasis on photographing the Great Migration crossing the Mara River. The ten-day safari will travel to Kenya and Tanzania with special emphasis on photographing the Great Migration crossing the Mara River in Kenya’s Masai Mara, as well as visiting Arusha National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti National Park.
This is a wildlife high season African safari of a lifetime. The most dramatic and memorable safari experience will be observing 1.5 million wildebeest migrating between Kenya & Tanzania at the numerous wildlife crossings on the Mara River. We will head for those crossings hoping to photograph the Wildebeest as they gather by the thousands on the banks of the river. Wildebeests run a dangerous gambit trying to cross the Mara River as several hundred Nile crocodiles try to reduce their numbers. Over 300,000 wildebeest die from drowning, stampedes, Nile Crocodiles and other predators every year crossing the Mara River.
The safaris start and end in Nairobi. I plan to arrive in Nairobi a day or two ahead of time to recuperate from the air travel. Hotels in Nairobi are not included and run about $90 per night double occupancy.

You will need a passport that is current for at least six months after you return. If you don’t have one apply now! Additionally, you’ll need an immunization record showing a current yellow fever vaccination.
My African safaris are a real bargain priced at $3,289 for the six-day safari (double occupancy – add $450 for single supplement)and $4,989 for the ten-day safari (double occupancy – add $795 for single supplement) without skimping on quality. Other photo safaris to Africa put six people per vehicle – I’m limiting the number to three so everyone has room to move around. Ground transportation in Africa, rooms (double), and meals are covered. Airfare, transfer/accommodations (in Nairobi), Visas and incidentals are not covered. Airfare will be about $1,500.
